Happiness as an offering ☽

The science of happiness is clear; it is a multifaceted and subjective experience that invokes feelings of pleasure and awe. This state is often known to be temporary and not exactly the goal of the spiritual path. The goal of the spiritual path is to surrender to divinity and be receptive to the love of God at the very subtle and atomic level. This is bliss, it is the alignment of your will to God's and the state of contentment in the continuous creative evolution of the cosmos. Often, the key to reaching bliss is through gratitude and understanding grace. Everything is grace and all traditions have their definition of it (anugraha for Hindus, reham for Muslims, adhisthana for Buddhists, etc). and various ways of attaining it. The simplest way of attaining grace is through gratitude and remembering God in your happy times. God loves beauty, God loves joy and God loves happiness for it is a way in which God becomes one with you for a brief period. The blooming in your chest, the delight that illuminates your body, and the smile on your face are an expansion of the Consciousness that flows through you because if you believe that God is experiencing and knowing Herself through you, you would want to not only consistently please yourself but also share the pleasure with everybody else who is also an embodiment of God.

Rohini nakshatra in Taurus rashi is the star that is called the blushing bride and she's the Moon's favourite wife because she does not discriminate against any pleasures. Rohini's symbol is also a rajaswala/menstruating girl and the meaning of rajaswala is 'one who is receptive of prana/life force' which makes this nakshatra naturally open to divine energy. Taurus is the natural 2nd house that deals with what we inherit and it's blind from the prejudices of the ascendant (aka what the lower, reincarnated self desires) which helps it become receptive to grace in all states and views poverty and sadness as mere illusions for it shows a disconnect from the eternal source that gives. The 2nd house is also a maraka for it is the natural path to the highest form of wish fulfillment which is liberation (the 12th house sits 11th from the 2nd house which shows the completion of the 2nd house's desires). The 2nd house ruler when sitting in the kendras (houses 1,4, 7, and 10) creates a 'Sumukha yoga' which gives one a smiling face at all times.

Your happiness is an offering, it is an addiction for the great Goddess within you for She rapidly begins to enjoy Her dance of consciousness and bestows Her grace on to you. Every time you're happy it's important to acknowledge the grace through which you were pushed into the state of happiness. The more you do this, the closer you will be subconsciously nudging yourself into a state of bliss. Another benefit of using your happiness as an offering is you will remove your inner discrimination and view all small experiences as Grace. From getting your daily meal or buying a designer purse; everything will be you seeking union with the divine without being selfish and petulant. You will begin to smile throughout the day casually, even during 'bad' days and this is the very fruit of devotion. The way you remember your lover, think of meeting them, ache for them and your chest fills with happiness when you think of your pastimes is the way you must remember the form of divinity you choose to worship.

Since luminosity is the state of things that are luminous and also that of those that are dark, there is therefore a necessary and essential connection between the universe and the [highest reality] -Svacchandasamgraha
