Kali's mercy
In your lap of skulls I lay my head,
purring like a cat who has never known
anything but the pleasure of you.
Your crystalline form in which I see my darkness
and then you chain my demons to yourself like
they’re your playmates, such is your glory and
the intoxication of the wine of compassion that
flows from your reddened eyes.
This stray heart wants to entangle itself in your
wild locks, swaying as your oceanic heart desires,
Mother never let go of this vagabond from your grip,
sweeten it until it beats to the rhythm of Shiv’s
heart, the most serene place for your feet to
rest upon.

flowers and your breath are one and
all holy rivers are sanctified by your name
my Sundara, i know not of a thing of beauty more
beautiful than your face, adorned with ash and the
lustful Chandra glancing at you like a bride
perhaps i could give you every breath of mine
my Lord drenched in soma, i seek you out
like the dog seeks a master,
like the sunflower bent to the will of the sun,
like the moth in search of a flame,
this girl could give all of herself to you,
would you do the same?
