Ashtamatrka: A Navratra Immersion

Amongst the mantras She is the original sounds, in the words She is the essence of knowledge. Amongst the knowledge She is beyond what is comprehensible by analysis and in the Shunya, i.e., during deep meditation, She is the witness to that state. She is well known as Durga, there is nothing better than Her.

Communicating with the divine is an art and when cultivated, this art gives us a deeper understanding of our intention, ego and how we can express ourselves.

Matrikas are those little goddesses of the letters of the Sanskrit alphabet that can attract and trap us in the juice of language, but it is only through worshipping them, we’re free from these traps and free to fully express ourselves in the state of flow.

Course Structure:

• On Day 1, we’ll dive into understanding word as an expression of divine, the appearance of the little mothers in the Durga Saptashati and how each one battles an inner enemy constantly. We’ll end the class with a group meditation to reminisce the existence of these Goddesses within us.
• On Day 2, we’ll dive into understanding how to do a ritual practice for the 9 days of Navratra with mantra, stotra  and self-inquiry through journaling prompts for each day to have a deeper exploration of different aspects of our inner dialogue.

All materials will be recorded and sent to you to begin your journey in self-exploration.

Pre-requisites:

There are no pre-requisites for this course, this is not to teach you the Sanskrit language so all you need is an open heart to receive the transmissions and the grace of the Goddess.
